Thanks to Lyric1 for finding me the info for this scheme, which is an update of a Busa01 skin originally done in 2012.
This A6M5 was flown by Chief Petty Officer Takeo Tanimizu while based at Kagoshima Airbase in Japan in the summer of 1945. Tanimizu saw combat from 1943 flying with the carrier Shokaku's air group and later with the Tainan Air Group. He is usually credited with scoring 18 kills. As his A6M5 has eight kill markings on the rear fuselage, which appear to represent six fighters and two heavy bombers, it is possible these represent the plane's kills rather than the pilot's.
