That adaptive sync support is more a marketing gag than something useful.
And the claim that only 12 out of 400 Freesync monitors passed their "validation" is complete and utter BS.

So far....more getting certified everyday.

Only works with Win 10.

I seem to remember reading an article about this months ago where somebody just tried turning this on on their freesync monitor for kicks and it showed as working! So they tested it and found it actually was. Wasn't supposed to be. So they figured this was something that was about to be released. Lo and behold here it is.
