I suppose this is a good time to plug the Special Events FB page in. Give it a like, we try to post all events at least a day or so prior in case it slips your mind or you don't visit the boards for a few days.

Not a fan of pop up messages during fighting, but some people have the power to send different colour text messages across arenas or something, like is done just before the event. Would not hurt to send reminder messages like that some time in advance telling about the event and to check the forum for more info.

Also event calendar could be a bit more noob friendly IMHO.

THIS!!!!    Hate how if pilots aren't on the boards, they could miss out on half the value this game has to offer. Telling you guys, just how a pop-up window appears when someone wants to join your aircraft, I'd like to see a pop-up reminder for special events for those in the MA.

Don't care, or have time, cancel the pop-up.   Want to join, pop-up signs you out of MA and into special arena? Or I dunno, just an informational pop-up... Either way, I like the idea of making it easier for players to join a special event.

you could always try making announcements during prime time on 200 in the MA or in the separate countries. it might help. ive suggested to the AVA staff to join in, and I will say something at Thursday night tank night for the event also.

I'm sure a lot of people do miss them because they have no idea. I'm just asking for a simple calender that the CMs could edit which appears on the select arena menu. Perhaps people/squads could RSVP, which would also hype up the event. It would help people also be able to get in squads earlier for the event if they don't have one.

An effective way to get the word out would be to put a chalk board in the tower that lists upcoming events.  Instead of a popup that a player clicks off and doesn't ever see again or spamming the text bar with begging, the chalk board would be seen by everyone, every single time they are in the tower.
