A mistake was made because I was not clear enough concerning field capture and targets to be attacked.

Hblair sent a squad or squads to capture fields in the north part of England. Frame C.O.’s should “always” limit themselves to the targets given on the map to help insure enemy contact.  ETO is a large map and with only 6 or 7 squads to a side and well over 50 possible targets it would be fruitless to try and defend all your potential targets, and quite boring. So when Frame C.O.’s receive their target map limit yourselves to the targets circled, but attack at least 3. Squad or Frame C.O.’s may change to a target not on the list, but only in very special circumstances. For example if the target they are bombing is a friendly field due to an Admin or Setup error.

1.   The fields captured that were not noted targets will not count.
2.   Hblair and the FDB’s, (Axis players) will receive “ad hoc” points for thinking outside the square so those that captured the fields will not feel their time was wasted.  :) How many points? I don’t know yet I will have to see the scores and see what fields were captured.
3.   I will change the TOD rules to reflect what went on here to avoid it happening again.

The next two Frame C.O.’s, (Rude and Wotan) will receive their mission map today or tomorrow. I will post here on the TOD BB when I have sent it out to them.

Quote of the frame:

mason - "do we get penalized for taking all of England"

Answer:  Yup and rightly so. ;)

We had fun shooting at each other off by ourselves.

Perhaps it would be useful to define an area of operations like in Hostile Shores.  Limit it to say an area 4x4 or 5x5 grids.  This will increase instances of enemy encounters, which is a big part of what I think we all show up for.

Dammit...the one time we all live and do something right....its still wrong.   ;)

Good call CM's.  If we were outside the bounds then we shouldnt get any points.  I just hope we can get this ironed out for the rest of the events.

Daddog, I don't know what happened. I tell the FDB's the correct field to hit, and what do they do? They go over to England and start illegally grabbing fields that weren't even on the mission list.

Not only do they do that, but they blame it all on me.

Somebodys gonna get slapped upside the noggin at next years con, and they're gonna be FDB's!

All joking aside, it was my fault fellas. I misunderstood the rules and got overagressive. It's been cleared up now.
Apologies from me to the axis, allies and CM's for the problems I caused.

Sorry Hblair, if I'd been a bit less frazzled I'd of said. "WTF Heck NO" when you asked me.

At the least I should have inquired into the details more.

Yes, I agree.
It was all Ghosth's fault.

I have been redeemed.
