AH2 quit living in the past.
« on: January 24, 2019, 06:26:22 PM »
look I loved AH2 as much as anybody, the berms the bombed out house's, the red and white barns, the lack of trees. the SMPizza was the best tank fight map. titanic Tuesday-early and midwar arenas. the 600 to 1000 players esp on Friday and Saturday nights. most maps had great Tank fights. air combat was great as well. BUT IT'S GONE, HISTORY, KAPUT.

GET OVER IT. people keep talking about it, even I made a reference to it once last week. there is no sense in bringing it up, talking about it.
those good and really fun days are over. we need to quit dwelling on it. I know I'm going to get flamed over this post. but I don't care.
almost every time I read the  forums, Discussion, wish list or the o'club someone mentions it. AH2 IS GONE. :old:

GET OVER IT.

Agreed.

Good lord, it's as bad as people pining for the days of AW FR.  Probably worse.  The world has moved on.

Isn't it still an open case? I mean Vatican, don't they say it's the soul, spirit and successor of the Roman Empire?

476 is the significant date, most accept.. When the last Roman Emperor to rule from Rome, was deposed by a barbarian Chieftain.. The "Empire", of the Caesars, didn't rise again..

During the age of the Republic/Empire, I believe Rome was sacked 3 times, Gauls, Visigoths, and Vandals.. But it happened after the the end of the Empire as well..

That is what I refer to, but I guess it could be open to historical interpretation..
Point is, after a long glorious period, Rome lost it's grip on power.. Was rejuvenated for a
short period of time, and then faded away!

There was quite a lengthy discussion where I found that... The main consensus was that no family heritage lines can be drawn, but if you think of Rome as a nation or constitution, the lineage could be vindicated. Where's the tongue in the cheek smiley?

Such trains of thought can be dangerous, though, in the modern social media culture we live in. It looks convincing enough to fool the majority of masses if presented widely enough in trustworthy medias and if the masses are large enough the radical elements can get forceful enough to get some significant power. Let's just hope the majority can laugh at interpretations like this.

Anything is convincing to those who are too cowardly to think. Sapere aude!
