Fi-156 Storch
« on: February 09, 2019, 05:50:42 PM »
lets just get rid of it-dump it, its useless, if a gv is parked under a tree with engine off on any map it can't see the gv. with as many trees and different type of trees, its virtually impossible to see/find the gv.
now Wikipedia shows the Storch ( english: Stork) was suitable for Liaison work(today called) Forward Air Control. and I assumed HiTech brought the Storch in to find gv's. but unless the engine is running-by still hard to find, but if it's moving then you can find it easily. in AH2 a storch could find a gv. but in AH3 it,s much harder almost impossible, I know because use them to try and find base flashers and spawn campers. so lets just get rid of it, and replace it with a PBY or a fighter or a gv like the M-36 :D

I have no issue finding non running gvs in a Storch. Hell it is easier to find g s in a Storch then fighting a Seaford in a ki43

The two at the base I was at did a good job spotting gvs. Just grab a tank and let the experienced fellas handle it.

Have fun.

Why does something need to be removed?  Are we at the limit of number of aircraft?

If you want another vehicle, ask for that.  Once the effort has been made to develop an aircraft, there is no reason to remove it.

Oh, and I like PBY's.

You can land the Storch and use external view F5 with F8 to scan through the trees.

If you don't see that as a scathing endictment of its usefulness, I really don't know what to tell you.

One of my favorite AH aircraft.  If you don't like it you don't like flying.  :aok

It can be difficult, it can be frustrating, it can make you rage quit.... wait what were talking about again?  :devil

The storch, oh yeah!  It's a fun little diversion sometimes. GV guys sure appreciate the hot meal and supplies I drop off.

As for visibility, meh, sometimes they are hidden in the trunk of a tree, but persistence and an equal level of ingenuity can discover those camo-netted, predator stealth tech stealing, sons-O-guns...   Film viewer is cheezy, but so are invisible ground vehicles NOT in a forest.  Sooooo… there's technically a counter mechanism already in play, albeit a game-pausing one.

I don't mind Storches. It is like skeet shooting when you are driving a M-8. Just ask Virgle.  :D I often
hear him yell  "PULL" when he flies overhead.  :rofl

If I cannot find a gv hiding in a bush or under a tree with a storch, then the next best option is to take out the M-8.
You cannot hide from the M-8.  :neener: The Six by Six can see everything.
