Big issue for me was playing film...Internal...Snap view....Recorded Views...and Icons being only checked options, When you try to get an external view shot or Chase view it can look pretty bad with Recorded views checked. Today however, I was able to go back to "Internal" with no issues, unlike yesterday :uhoh

I'm missing something. What and  when does this do something strange?
It also may be if you turn on recorded views but do not have internal checked?

Does it do it in normal speed, slow motion or when playing at faster speeds?

HiTEch

I'll try the rewind thing when I can, but to answer the above question:

You start the program, load the file, press "play", and then enable "use recorded views".  You will be in internal view.

Now, instead of the view snapping around to the normal view directions (like left, right, back and left, etc., as they should), the point of view twirls around, exits the plane, and does other weird motions.

Believe I found it. If you play the film, then rewind and play again, does it show correctly the 2nd time?

HiTEch

No, it still is weird, showing rotating, translating points of view instead of snapping to "left", "right", "back and left", etc.

Just to be clear, here is what it should look like (normal snap views):

What it does look like (weird moves in point of view):

Can not think of a way to make that work in all situations.

Fix your Gamma setting.  :D

(P.S. I think you can adjust time in film viewer.)

Shouldn't the film viewer know the (ingame) time of day the recording took place?  Seems like that should be standard.

I've just noticed some things are not accurate in the film-viewer.  For example, I tried landing a P-38 and smacked the props on the runway.  It killed both engines of course.  When I watched the film it showed both engines were running after I landed/crashed.   :bolt:

Bomb sight view seems uncalibrated.

AH films aren’t the best choice for making YouTube videos because that’s not really what they’re designed for. Some guages don’t move in ah films and planes move choppy like etc. and that’s fine because that keeps the ah film recording less processor taxing and economical memory wise.
