At least make the base flash when the first hangar is destroyed.  The battle group might be invisible to radar, but base personell might notice a hangar being destroyed.   :D

That's a good idea.  I'd expand it to flashing while it's under fire at all.  People tend to notice artillery landing near them.

Never understood why a gv can be repaired - in the time it takes to click- if supplies are available- and while under fire - but a plane can’t be repaired while at a field.

Because for the GV to reup he's (generally) got to invest a lot more time to get back to his strategic position.  If you've landed a plane, there's virtually no difference between repairing and replaning.

Because flying back to a field isn’t a time investment.  The abuse of vehicle sups really comes from the brave souls dropping vehicle supplies all over before rolling a wirble out to “defend” the airfield or spawn point.  All very gamey.

You do understand that with a plane you are at the field...... just re-plane.

No disrespect, gflyer, but what difference does it make?  Plane gets back in the fight.  GV gets back in the fight.  Both in the same amount of time.  Is it a score thing?

You're kinda acting like you don't. One situation deserves a bit more elastic than the other.

I am all for this.  The moment something is destroyed by an 8" or 16" barrage the base or field should start flashing to indicate an attack.  :aok

It shouldn't even be that specific.  Anything hits on or near the field/town, it should flash regardless of whether it's 8", 16", tank fire, whatever.

Nah.  Anybody on the base from the guy sitting in the tower to the mechanic in the hangar would probably happen to notice incoming fire and explosions.  Same deal as bardar.  It's simulating people in the area and observers/long range dar.
