Here's what I know. Grendl kindly posted a link to a scanned version of that article over on AGW.
They have already sold one of the planes to a South-African customer. They can only produce a very limited number of assembled planes (5 I think) or else they "qualify" for "Mass production" and stricter regulations would apply, making the 190s even more expensive. They' keep one of the planes for themselves, sell the other 3 and then continue selling complete kits that can either be assembled by a local flug-werk agent or by the customer himself.
The price tag isn't *that* horrible, considering the ammount of research that went into the project. Remember: They didn't even have a complete set of blueprints, so research must have been a pain, plus they had to manufacture a lot of parts specifically for this project.
$ 500.000 is a fair price if you ask me...if only they'd throw in a set of 151/20s...
