Oh goody...Editor is crashing!
« on: September 19, 2001, 11:50:00 AM »
I finished Stage 1, placing the fields, but now the dumb thing crashes when I try to open it in the editor!

ARGH!

I was working along at a fairly good pace and had been on auto save for the 3 hours I spent on it this morning.
I exited after every 3-4 fields and came back in to check that the spawn points etc. were correct.
...FF...
As I get the last 4 laid out and make my exit...CRASH!!!  BSOD...Explorer errors etc.

Reboot...Open editor, click offline...CRASH!

UGH!
Reboot...change curterr.cfg to a known good terrain...AHE runs fine.

Change back to the one I'm working on...CRASH!

Anyone have any ideas?

I have 65 Fields of various types.  Is it possible I broke a limit?
If so, how do I get back?

You can't have more than 64 fields.

Thanks

Actually, I figured out a way to get it back.
AHE 2 allowed me to open the terrain. From there I played with the fields a bit until I figured out that 64 is the magic number. (BTW, that sucks)

I also found that you can not use the SWAP function to switch any field with F64. It will show correct on the map, but the object numbers don't change. Bit of a bug, or part of the limitation code?
