'Honor duels', back in the day, involved challenging someone to the DA when one player openly claimed/were concerned about they being a better stick than another and the other player disputed such. A proper duel left choice of airplane (same player flying such) to the one challenged. I suppose that plane could change on a multi-round challenge if the players agreed to do such, the mechanics agreed upon, in advance, or whether winner or loser picks the next planes. Also, occasionally it involved presenting a film of said fight to further ridicule and embarrass their chosen target of such but not always (the bonding moment(s) of the duel cooling one or both heads off a bit).
Of course. in your case (with twinboom) you just skipped to showin us all the film then explainin' to us all how bad a pilot twinboom was for flyin' in three dimensions and shootin' you down and all without any of that pretext.
Shida wants to duel me out of frustration on the forum for not giving him the respect he thinks he's earned there (this could .... well is .... over a joke at his expense or an occasion or three where I challenge his opinion on something, in general (the overall state of the AH community, his opinion of HT regarding character and/or/ability, his using the forum to pester other players to 'seek his help').
I pay to play in the MA and events on my time at my convenience. Shida's 'honor duel' comes without a please, thank you or negative emotion-free moment on his part. Why should I feel beholden to cater to that? All his, or anyone's, scaredycat routine does for me is make me smile a little over their sensitivity.
If you wanna be Shida's playmate in the MPA (whether he makes it convenient to you or not) .... by all means. He likes being called sensai.
