Will get to see the F-35 for the first time at the Airshow in Waco this weekend.

"If you were to write down all the ways in which you could measure an airplane—payload, fuel, ordnance, handling—and ask 100 pilots to rank which is the most important, I guarantee you that 100 out of 100 pilots would say “situational awareness.” By far. Not a single pilot in the world would say “turn radius.” Not one. Because the more you know, the more accurately you know it, the better able you are to make a decision."

Interesting observation.  And nice article.

I agree. Bogdanov was an excellent and influential writer.

Lol!   Too funny.

This airplane is junk.   But so many people depend on it to line their pockets, so of course they’ll praise it.    Any honest person will be passed over.    Look at the saga of John Boyd for a prime example.

Most powerful engine installled in a fighter...   Translation: This thing is a blowtorch that will light up every IR sensor for a thousand miles and melt concrete/asphalt in VTOL mode.

The air show demo was a total hoax.    The dang thing was unarmed and out of gas when it landed (to minimize weight/maximize performance).   That’s not a useful combat capability.

We are repeating the Brewster Buffalo.

You’ll love it!  Saw it several times during the Heritage Flight Conference.

Someone suggested I leave this for Spunk to see.   (I don’t read his bilge—he’s on ignore—so I have no clue what he says, but...)

Do you know where the F35 will be displayed anytime soon in the southeastern USA? I’ve always wanted to go see that and the F22.

At our local USAFB that I do contract work for from time to time they have lots of planes on display. My favorite being the F4 Phantom. The way that thing looks in its camo pattern gives me chills when I drive by it.

Someone told me to write this:

“Not your account?   That’s different from what you admitted on FlameWarriors.”

I’m almost tempted to read what he wrote.....but nah.
