Announcing Midway -- the Scenario for June

Midway will run as a Scenario June 8, 15, 22, and 29.  :aok

Please join us for the most-important carrier battle in history.

If you would like to volunteer to be considered for a CO position, please send a PM to me, Swareiam, or KCDitto.

Registration will open soon, and we'll announce here when it opens.

Design details will be posted here, too, once they are finished up (also soon).

Side switching came about as a counter to claims of imbalance (true or not).

Well, I also suspect it came out of entire sides quitting the scenario. I like the rare Pac scenario and am willing to make concessions to have them. May the best players win irrespective of their 'disadvantages.'

But the setup is to try to get the people who do not take the time to learn a win. Not the best player.

Heck the last scenario we were in early spit 5s. Row boats were running away from us. We just kept prodding along doing our job.


Quitters are going to quit. Nothing you can really do about that. They can be in the best planes and if they are not winning, they will log.

In any case... have fun wherever you are.

I'm of the mind that players that win flying first U.S. then Japanese actually deserve some respect. Sorry you won't be there to be one of those champions.  :salute :cheers:

Both sides will get to fly 2 frames as USN and 2 frames as IJN.

Reason isn't because of balance.  It is that Midway was a briefer battle.  So, like Coral Sea, it's 2 frames each way.
