Disconnecting mid battle and rejoining to avoid getting found/shot

What are everyones thoughts on this?

Kilroy uses this in tanks. I've often wondered where'd he go I found his dirty little habit in a film. I PM'd him and he replied "it's allowed".

While I agree that it is childish to use it as a tactic, as long as real life emergencies/distractions exist, I don't know what could be done to prevent it. I'm not into 'shame-policing' the AH community but I am surprised how shameless a response that was. Granted, I don't really tank in AH and I do like to see poor behavior first-hand before I write off someone as pitiful. But if it came to such, that's all I could really do. Let them be pitiful and go my merry way having fun in other ways in the MA.

He does tanks. Planes I dunno. I know when I've had a disco in a plane and rejoined it's not always where you'd expect to be. In the film with his tank he disappeared, then re-appeared then despawned. I had strafed him with mg's so I suspect he did this to avoid giving me a proxy kill.

But he does have some curious abilities in game - if you ask around gv'ers (especially knit and rook gv'ers). With this film the penny dropped. As I said to him, I don't mind dying. Hell I die a lot, I've been playing the game far to long to care about stats or rank.
