"ahbrowser (32 bit) shows in my win10 Task Manager
« on: June 02, 2019, 07:29:02 PM »
I have never noticed this in my windows task manager before:

ahbrowser (32bit)

It shows in my task manager it is using 18.2 MB of memory and 0% for cpu, gpu, and disk.

Anyone know anything about this task?

Nope. Do you use Chrome? I don't want to panic you but there could be a fake browser malware attack making the rounds again. Last I heard of it was years ago, but it could pop up again just like anything else. I recommend reading up on malware removal and rootkit removal methods and that might give you a clearer picture whether that is your problem or not.

EDIT: Never mind. I see you are using Chrome.

I suggest you read this thread and follow through the process just to be safe. You can use free versions without fear. If you find nothing then all the better!

Isn't that the embedded browser AHIII uses to play those pop-out youtube videos and display html help pages?

You know that's one thing I didn't try was loading the game and testing it that way, but I use Edge as my default browser. Not sure how that might affect things.
