Compared to the 202 it is. 205 has the firepower advantage but the 202 is a much smoother handling machine.

Saying that the 205 has more firepower than the 202 is like saying that boys have a longer Johnson than girls.

They come in leopard skin, that is all I need to know.

I'd say the F4U would win all day after just 2 turns. Though if you give them the ole skyyr special, you might be able to pull the rope in the first emmilmen.

I would probably want to be in the -1,  instead of the -1D, because it can out turn all other F4U models... and if one knows how to really dig in and fly it, the LA-7 nor Yak-3 can handle it....just saying

Yeah I was trying to get a 190D and Yak3 ganging me to overshoot. The Yak3 was coming down on my 6 I was going about 150. He slowed down all the way. I was able to get him in the scissors but we were both going about 75 I'd say. Very slow. We could wave to each other at one point. (Was actually pretty cool). I was just surprised that he could hang on in a Yak3 that slow without rolling it in. It's hard to stay with a f4u like that. I was just about to gain the advantage going 40  but the 190 ate my lunch.

Well the thing is to create enough separation and keep the fight vertical and going uphill and not turn. When I'm in corsair i hope I can get the yak to get into a slow flat turn

A 190d can do the same against the f4u though it wal probably take longer to get the right setup for a kill shot.

C205 is a vertical fighter....its a beast...if you get use to the stalls its even better...snap controls with rudder can point the nose anywhere...similar to a 109k4.....i have to agree after the WEP is finished i suggest you rtb because it tends to lack power and turns sluggish...

The 202 has 2 7.7mm and 2 12.7mm while the 205 has 2 12.7mm and 2 20mm cannon, so yes it does have more firepower. The 205 is a bit more squirrely in a knife fight where the 202 transitions smoothly but you are shooting staple guns at your enemy.

It never ceased to amaze me that Pipz (RIP) always managed to land 2-3 kills with almost every C202 sortie he flew.

202 flys even better if you lose those useless 7.7s.  If you're going for WWI armament, might as well go for the gold.
