Its been my experience that finding good aerial photos and finding good aerial photos that are public domain and free of copyright restrictions are two different things.

If anyone has a good resource for public domain hires color aerial photos I would be forever in their debt if they would point me in that direction.

The company I work for (Nautical Technologies) makes a product called TheCapn.  Basically, we take GPS data from the serial port and display the vessel's position on a geo-referenced chart/aerial photo.  Our sister company, SoftCharts.Com, makes Aerial Photo Regions using the USGS aerial pictures, and they are 1:10,000 scale.  Check out this link http://www.softcharts.com/Photonav.htm

I'm wondering if my coworkers can perhaps get us some cool aerial charts in a form we can use for Aces High?  Ideas?  I'll pass them along.

Hello Nuttz how did you make out with COFFEE terrain.

Here something you could do for aerial photos.
Try searching for Kite Photography,  they are photo taking from kite, some that are a 100 ft off ground and taking landscape photos.

Kite photos aren't nearly high enought shots to get good pictures and some of the clarity isn't the best.

but thanks for the tip.
