How to rename a terrain file
« on: June 01, 2001, 06:03:00 PM »
When the terrain editor makes a terrain file, it names it newterr.res, newterr.nld, and newterr.fld

I made one and it works fine in H2H and other people and fly it in when it's named newterr.

However, when I rename the file to something else, it causes AH to dump.

Is there some cofig file I need to edit?

Rename the newterr folder and all the files inside it to the new name.

no joy.

When the files are renamed AH crashes.

There's some other detail missing.

besides the three files .res, pln, and fld, else needs to be modified?

Don't forget to put the new name in the curterr.cfg  in  the htc/editor/settings
after you remaned the folder and all the files, because when you start up the editor it will be looking for that name.

If newterr is in the curterr.cfg but you rename the newterr folder and all the files to MyMap when the editor gets launched it will be looking for newterr.
