1v1, 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4 servers for duels with time limitations.
Let the pilots/teams choose the size of fight they want.
Challenges or auto challenges.
Chalenge, this sounds interesting, with that said I've been thinking a lot about how our current MPA ( Match Play Arena ) does the following
Head to Head (this category leave as is, and let it not have a drop-down box...players use this the way it currently is
1 vs 1
2 vs 2
3 vs 3
4 vs 4
6 vs 6 etc.....
If HTC was to implement smaller servers and hosting on Steam (and I'm sure the Stand alone AH would have access as well)
I think that there needs to be a sub-page/roster dropdown box under each challenge category
Example:
Head To Head: who ever selects fights who ever joins
1 VS 1:
A: slot 1 <game ID> vs slot 2 <game ID>
B: slot 1 <game ID> vs slot 2 <game ID>
C: slot 1 <game ID> vs slot 2 <game ID>
D: slot 1 <game ID> vs slot 2 <game ID>
E: slot 1 <game ID> vs slot 2 <game ID>
2 VS 2:
A:slot 1 <game ID> / slot 2 <game ID> VS slot 3 <game ID> / slot 4 <game ID>
B:slot 1 <game ID> / slot 2 <game ID> VS slot 3 <game ID> / slot 4 <game ID>
C:slot 1 <game ID> / slot 2 <game ID> VS slot 3 <game ID> / slot 4 <game ID>
D:slot 1 <game ID> / slot 2 <game ID> VS slot 3 <game ID> / slot 4 <game ID>
and the same for the others like 4 VS 4, 6 VS 6, 8 VS 8, etc.....
The reason, is I have been in the MPA several times, and regardless if it's just going Head to Head (1 vs 1) or even if you have a group and you're all wanting to do 2 VS 2, it is dang hard to get sync'ed up with the person you are challenging, unless you wait, and try over afew several times
If HTC is going to want to push the MPA and offer tournaments and prizes, I think that the current way needs to be tweaked to include drop down box / open slots that people can select who they are going 1 on 1 with or if it is 2 vs 2, so the pairs can quickly get paired up and fighting more quickly
I was going to post this in it's own thread, but since Chalenge had an interesting idea, that is drawing off of the MPA we currently have, I figured my thoughts and idea of the way the challenging needs addressing fitted here perfectly
Hope This helps
