This is an update of a skin originally done by Rogerdee in 2008 but which currently suffers from "AH3 chrome skin syndrome". Thanks to Lyric1 for finding me the info for my remake.
"The Blond Angel" was a razorback Thunderbolt flown by Captain Thomas Litchfield of the 404th Fighter Group, 506th Fighter Squadron during June 1944. This group was formed in March as part of the 9th Air Force and its main role was to support the Allied ground forces in Europe following the D Day landings. Captain Litchfield flew 45 missions over France with the squadron before being shot down on the 31st July. He spent the next nine months in various POW camps before he was liberated by the advancing US army in April 1945.
