Wish for Hitech to either lighten the density of the Fog or lower it's elevation to 500ft.
What happened when you set your monitor to 1080P 1920x1080 versus 1440P 2560x1440? I don't think the video engine is WQHD even though it can generate frames for 3 monitors or big screen TVs. At that resolution I bet it's similar to what happens at 1080P when you raise the FOV past 106 shrinking everything and condensing the haze so it blocks out the airfield until you are closer than half the radar circle. My screen shots are from a 24in at 1080P resolution. And the higher you raise the gamma, the worse the haze gets along with some terrain tiles respond by glaring out fine details along with some airfields are hard to discern until you are on top of them with lighter objects and runways glaring out. You see it mostly on the terrains with desert schemes mid day if your gamma is over 1.3.
I've been staring at this game for half a year sometimes now for 4 terrains. I see a lot of things and have tweaked my video trying to understand them. In many cases, when I turn my gamma down a little it resolves resolution issues for objects. Then when it's outside of the mid daylight band, cons below me start blending into the clutter until I raise the gamma a bit. I'm not sure a dynamic gamma would make everyone happy as much as setting the MA to 12:00 24x7.
