100K damage bomber run

Is it possible to score 100k damage in a single bomber sortie? I've scored 63k and 75k but I can't seem to get any higher.

I have seen it done once by BFoot (I think it was BFoot) in a B-29. I think he took the 40x500lb load and attacked somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 towns. If I recall, he landed 110k+.

gotcha, if there is nothing really going on I will take the same load out and smash 5 towns.

That's awesome! When I got my first 70k+ run I was grinning for about an hour. Sadly on the third run, my 29's got smashed by a 410. That long gun on it is insane.

I can get 35k in B24s without really trying. If you took the time to plan your trip to hit the towns at the right heading (long pass) and dropped 4 with a good spacing 100K would be easy.

I hit 5 towns dead on up main st, good spacing (ripped a consistent hole through town) and still only ended up with 75k.

I only watched the first drop.....

Your approach was good, but a bit left of center. Speed was off a bit as well, and you dropped too many bombs.

Going down the center of the town gives your wing buffs a good hit, count on the "splash" damage.

Speed, calibrate for ten seconds a couple minutes from drop. The adjust speed with throttle to match calibrated speed to set it dead on.

Drop only 4 bombs on that angle. The first bomb you dropped is a bit of a waste because the splash damage on those smaller buildings will not get you the same number of buildings you could get in the areas that have the denser areas.

I saw that you did 76k man thats impressive. Not being bragging. I did my own 29 run doing 79k. I hit 11 targets including a stray to get to that much. I would probably have to drop 4 500s on each town to get 100k at least.

I'm thinking with fugitives advice I can spread my tour to 10 towns and pull off over 100k. Gonna have to bring 3 cans of fuel but that shouldn't be a problem.

I once saw a mission up had bombs and rockets, dropped the bombs and rockets, strafed the runway and the only one who died was me.

but yes i got 60+ in Lancaster once.
