trouble connecting with phone

Anyone else having trouble connecting to the bbs with a phone?

I get this error " The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified."

if I try connecting thru wifi it works fine.

Any ideas?

Never used the BBS with the phone since WAP is no longer supported...

BUT: Knowing that smart phones by default try to minimize data usage (at least for updates but not necessarily for advertising apps) to cut costs there might be a setting for cutting the data flow when not on wifi. Just a wild guess.

It is strange. I have used my phones for years to check out the BBS and never had trouble other than if the site was down.

After the error message, the next line says to contact the site owner and tell them about the issue, but if nobody else is having trouble it has to be something on my phone. I haven't had any updates recently, but who knows what goes on in the background of these things.

If you have a book mark make sure it is to https not http , not sure if this will make a difference but is my first guess.

Yup that is the address I use (https). As long as the phone is connected to wifi I can access the site, but when Im on the phones network I cant and this is the error I get.



I cant find any reason on my end why it is happening. Will twist Google for an answer.


EDIT:

I have tried 3 browsers, adjusted clock setting, reset cookies, cleared password, and nothing helps. The score pages are the same, anything with the //bbs.hitechcreations.com address will not sign on with the verizon network. Connect to the home wifi and no problems. Driving me a bit nuts!

I've received that same warning before, was a couple months ago....

I don't remember if I was on my Sprint service or on my Spectrum Wi-Fi at home...

I haven't seen the warning since though regardless if I am using mobile or home Wi-Fi...

That sounds like a dns lookup issue when you are connected LTE. The Certificate server should be  www.sectigo.com . When not wifi can you bring up that serverr?

All works for me, HiTech, as you can see I'm on my Mobile IP address now (LTE)

Tried Chrome, Firefox, and the "Samsung" browsers. All are the same I can view any site except the bbs.hitechcreations.com page. The main HTC pages are all fine. Scores and Messageboards both fail on the certificate.
