"Destitute Prostitute" flown by Jack Bade of the 44th Fighter Squadron/18th Fighter Group in the summer of 1943. Bade was a 5 victory ace and recipient of the Distinguished Service Cross and the Purple Heart for his action on February 13, 1943 when he defended a flight of US Navy bombers (I believe I read somewhere that they were SBD's) from a swarm of Zero's - despite having all guns jammed and already suffering a wound to the head from earlier in the battle.

Victory marks for Bade's 5 kills can be seen on the port side fuselage along with the inscription "Destitute Prostitute" on the cowl. The starboard side is inscribed with "Reckless Prostitute" and 14 victory marks for the total gained by all the pilots whose planes were under the care of crew chief, SSgt. Jim Cooley - including the 5 from Bade.
