Have you tried increasing the deadband on whatever controller is causing the problems? You could have a bad sensor that is spazzing out and giving a thousand little inputs that arent seen in flight. Increasing the deadband beyond the scope of the spazz will keep it from locking up controls.
It's not that. It's literally the controllers he's trying desperately to use that frankly aren't ready for prime time yet. It's an oculus issue. They are aware of the problem. They're working on it and have actually made improvements to the tracking in the last few updates. A new one came out yesterday but I haven't updated mine yet.
In case you didn't know. These controllers are not connected to anything directly. They're battery operated things you put in each hand. They have a few buttons and a mini stick on each. I'm not exactly sure how but I believe their position is tracked optically by the headset they're paired to. The buttons are wireless also. They are a little jittery at best and there are also known issues with the buttons lagging. So not a precise controller which is what's needed here otherwise you'll end up having issues like Sam is having. These are a different animal. Not really for stuff like this. Yet he persisted despite better advise.
