 If anything, I am a man of integrity and never ashamed to accept fault.
I'm a good egg, filterless, sometimes a bit yuck mouthed and it seems more often these days as my brain deteriorates thanks to the micro-doses of Sarin Gas, I tend to lose composure and share my feelings out loud.
My rant the other day stemmed from 2 hours of like 6 consecutive sorties wherein i fell victim to controller lock on every sortie and always just as I was engaging. It was unwarranted and very very frustrating. Below is a link to my Google Drive where I recorded 3 or 4 sorties to show you what happens. The sorties in the video are from my B25 flights. Not included are the 5 consecutive Mosquito sorties where the same thing happened on every sortie and exactly wt the moment when I would go to engage an enemy.. so yeah, I was fuming mad.
I shouldn't have posted like I did out of anger and frustration. It was inappropriate and Im sorry. I will stop myself in the future from repeating those actions. If anyone was offended, I apologize for that as well. I meant no offense to anyone.
At the end of the video you will see some cuts from War Online Pacific where I tend to find more success.
I received a message from FLS that I felt was a bit inappropriate and might have been discouraging to a person with thinner skin than I.. I found it a bit insulting until I remembered shooting him down with ease in War Online Pacific until he started to "end sortie" just before getting shot down. Yup, in War Online Pacific you can "end sortie" anytime flying or not. I happened to be recording at the time but I wont embarrass the guy by posting it as it clearly shows him trying to evade for a couple minutes then leveling out and "POOF" disappeared then reappeared on my team.. If ya can beat em... join em.. LOL.
Maybe thats why i found myself quite insulted by his message but Ill let you be the judge.. Anyway, Im sorry for acting like an unruly child, sorry for my outbursts and sorry for the inappropriate post.. I love the game too much to put it down.. and as a final note.. I love VR, its indescribable and using the touch controllers for me is far more immersive that using my HOTAS. JUST SEEMS MORE REAL..

Everybody knew you were going to hit a wall, it was just a matter of time. If it wasn't control lock it would be something else. Players with HOTAS have quit over control lock, it's not just a VR thing, but if there is an extra issue with VR that's a good reason not to use Touch.

You may realize you're not an ace. You were good in a game that didn't require flight or ACM knowledge. I know you played IL2 but I doubt you dominated there.  We got interrupted before we could spar in the TA but it was clear in WO:P that all you could do is jump me from advantage in a better turning plane, and even then I just flew away.

So if you can consider yourself a beginner, learn the basics, and stop trying to rush to glory, you might have some fun..

Sam, one thing about FLS....he cuts ZERO CORNERS and No "Fs" to give sort of guy. If you want an HONEST RESPONSE, you will get it EVERY TIME from,him. He is one of the few whom I respect on these boards and in the game. His advice was accurate,imo. Soon as you told us you used "Touch"...it was a collective eye roll. Not that it couldnt be done, but more of a "This wont be good". Hats off to ya though. DO YOU Brother Hope to see you in WoP again, was fun when I bumped into you there, a couple weeks ago. As you are aware now, it is a WAY RELAXED flight model. Closer to what you are used too.? If I could make a suggestion, by all means use Touch in WoP. But also try and use Hotas in AH3, dont want you to get frustrated like that my man The Sharks in there dont take much, to jump on your case. We need every player we can keep, so I am just asking  You see me, I am a jump away from going to MP or TA.I aint the best but I am a descent fight  Its the "hard" to do, that keeps most guys in AH3. Its not a DCS....but its close enough for us

Sam,After watching the film...does seem like there IS something to your frustration, works just fine in WoP but not in the Main. That being said, pretty sure you are the only player I know using"Touch". Is there a way to scale Sensitivities for "Touch"? Believe that with "Mouse Control", it can be scaled? Could just be something that so few players use them, it was overlooked? HT is usually quick to check things like this. At least when I ever posted a "Bug". I know he used "Touch" in his Pilot View film, not sure if he tested flying with them though. Eh would lean to the YES he did side.   Have you used "Pilot Mesh" on? Wait for it...notice what Pilot Arm seems to be doing? "Long Cruise was it?...." Too long! "

I watched your video and from what little information I could attain from it, those controller inputs seemed a bit jerky to me for what it's worth.....i don't remember if the "don't move your controls rapidly" message/warning compounds (adds to the warning you got before) which causes it to take longer and longer until you are able to regain control....

Blackouts work like that! To where if you pull into "blackout" and let off the pull quickly to regain visual....but if you keep doing it, it will compound the time and keep you blacked out for a longer amount of time....if a player continues to do it and stays in the blackouts for longer periods from the start, the player usually finds themselves in the tower from augering while they were blacked out.....

Thanks for the kind words.. Im in WOP every day now for about an hour before heading into AH for my daily beatdown.. I have and still use my HOTAS in IL2 and Ace Combat.. But Ill stick with the touch.. even in AH.. These boys are a tough bunch of killers for sure and I dont mind getting shot down by them.. and TBH, I dont have that much of a problem getting on anybodys six.. Its the target lead thats kicking my butt.. these guys are way too good to let anyone stay on their six for too long.. I have blown many many kills because of improper leading with the result being me getting out maneuvered and shot down..
But remember this friend.. I am the BlacksheepAries, born under Mars, so when I hit a wall, I back up, lower my head and blast through that wall and keep coming.. 👍👍👍 If you see me in AH and want to go destroy some WOP so we can bank our war cash and increase our inventory just send me a message.. im always down!,

Thanks brother.. I tried to record game footage, even got the little red R up in the corner.. and saved the files afterwards but when I checked the folder they were not to be found.. maybe I did something wrong. So I used my OBS to record my flights and then edited out the 15minutes of flight to battle for a smaller file size rendering.

I know it appears occasionally that my input looks a bit jerky, but i assure you I am holding rock steady.. also, sometimes during a banking turn my vr hand will jump from holding the right side of the yoke to the left side of the yoke. And thats why I feel it is a tracking issue.. Dale messaged me and is looking into it.. I knew I was pretty much the only touch controller die hard and combine that with my love for the Mosquitto, I figured he hadn't  heard this specific complaint/bug before..
to my very weak defense.. before my angry dumb guy post, i had sent several support requests.. still no excuse for being a public negative nancy..

This is EXACTLY what came to mind.

Saam claims he's not thin-skinned. He claims a lot of things. Since he posted a private message we can all see the horrible things I wrote. No USMC vet should ever have to face such harsh language. 

What happened is I went to WO:P to try to help Saam. I joined his side. While I was fighting AI, SAAM switched sides and attacked me without warning. This was the easy kill he referred to.  When he tried to do it again he missed, repeatedly. I ended flight and joined his side so we could fight in the same plane so he could learn something. Then we went to the TA and started a lesson where he disappeared after crashing.

A lot of people can pick in the arena with little knowledge of ACM and that is what Saam considers skilled air combat. He could have learned all the things he thinks he knows already.

Have you tried increasing the deadband on whatever controller is causing the problems?  You could have a bad sensor that is spazzing out and giving a thousand little inputs that arent seen in flight.  Increasing the deadband beyond the scope of the spazz will keep it from locking up controls.

Have you considered ditching the touch controllers and using a joystick?
