RV-8 available in the Melee Arena?

Just ran across one, wasn't sure if I witnessed someone in a nefarious act, or just a fluke.
Fellow countryman killed him, I got the assist and the name.

Yes you can fly one..... no guns though. You activate it in your list with a dot command.

Isn't kills in an RV8 an achievement?

 Flying an Rv8 in the ma and landing with no guns and a kill should be something special

Exactly how do we access this aircraft?  Every time I try to dot command it, it says invalid model number.

Type .showrv then it will show in the list of aircraft.

 I flew it tonight in the MA, just for the fun of it. I took off, flew around the airport, and landed. 

 I can imagine the RV-8 would be a good tank spotter.
