Have to chime in as I've been against night all along. As I've said many times, it looks awesome and I truely appreciate effort put into it. But insofar as flying day fighters, which is what we all fly in this game at last check, YOU JUST CAN'T SEE! So because of that it totally sucks if you want to actually fight. If you just want to run and hide I guess you'd think it's great. I shrug.

The worst of it is I don't have as much time to fly as I'd really like to. It's become the running gag of the guys I'm on with that as soon as I log on, whenever, it's either about to get dark or it's dark already! It's like EVERY. FN. TIME!! It'd be great if I could fly a session between 10 and 4 arena time JUST ONCE FOR CRISSAKES!

Keep on mind this is from a guy that's been here for a long time. I tolerate it because I still love the game and will make the best of what little time I have to fly. But if I was a newb I'd be like--what the....

Nothing has changed in the night. But the day cycle does follow days in keller. I.E. moon position, sun rise, sun set times.

I suspect what Kilroy might have noticed as different is if he was on the opposite side of the map from the sun as it sets/rises.

If you're on the east side of the map during dusk, it gets a lot darker than the west side before it goes to morning.  Same thing if you're on the west side of the map when morning first starts, it's a lot darker at first than it is on the east side.
