'Make map' BMP file is working for me in editor but I get a black map once i build it and use it to test view in in offline mode.

I do the following:
-"make map" in AH editor, 1024x1024 and default settings
-exit AH editor, rename map.bmp to <mapname>.bmp in the <mapname> directory
-open AH editor and press build.
-cut and paste the <mapname>.res file to AH terrain folders
-start AH in offline mode

Anything i am missing here?

I usually make the map in another art program and name it and place it in the folder. I'm not home but i "think" it has to be 512x512 pixels. I may be wrong.

It makes it in 24 bit color, the clipboard map must be 256 color so you need to convert it.
