OK!
i got my map finished but i have a problem.
when flying anytime i get far away from one of the islands they distort, by distort i mean tht the mountins become flat and the texture of water takes sides of other mountins so it looks like i have made a 5000ft water mountin, when you get closer of course everything pops back correctly but this phenominon is kind of an eyesoar.  I have a feeling that is has something to do with the fact that there is so much water on the map but i dunno.  ANY IDEAS?

It will do that do to down sampling of vertex spacing. Things you can do to minimize its effect is dont make high small mountians. Also move the mountain by 1 or 2 vertexes can change the effect.
