I didn't say the OP deleted it. You're doing your usual hit job based on poor reading comprehension.

The likely explanation from the posted facts is that Steam deleted it for some unknown reason.

Pure unsubstantiated conjecture.  For some unknown reason.  Lol

You don't get it and assumption you have about Steam is wrong.

So if the good does not outweigh the bad.... why use it?

Over the years I have had Steam completely remove games I was actively playing and not just because they were removed from the Steam library. In fact I had a problem with Arma 3 completely uninstalling itself randomly and there were several other reported players of the game that had it happen to them at different times. Sometimes Steam just gets stupid; for all its good things there are just as many bad things for it and don't get me started on the Origin launcher for EA stuff.... :pray :uhoh :furious :O ;) :D

Again, you are showing you don't really understand what Steam does.  You are also saying the bad outweigh the bad despite never using Steam.

No... I said the good must out weigh the bad. You said I was wrong and did not understand.

So I asked why use it if the good does not outweigh the bad then.

It obviously can't be both ways lol. As for needing a third party for games, I never needed one when I was younger and played several.

Sorry for the typo in my previous post.  Using a tablet and autocorrect messed up post.

You said the if the good does not outweigh the bad, why use it.  That assumption is where you were wrong.  Steam as a platform isn't bad, it's actually quite good.  As digital distribution for games, it has no peer.  As a library for games, again it has no peer.  I may not be a fan on how Valve pays developers, especially small studios or the algorithms it uses to curate its library and reviews but as a gaming platform it is great.

I can tell you from experience on working with Valve to get games on Steam, the vast majority of issues with games on Steam are developer side.

Ahhh the old autocorrect. I get bit by that all the time on my phone. LOL

In the end I just have no use for a third party. For those that do, I guess it is the one to go to.
