Riftvals Bombers: Mission #4
01/10/20

Good evening everyone!  Sorry if anyone dropped by this past Friday, my game kinda asploded.  This week we will be taking B17Gs up once again.  The objective is to neutralize a key enemy airfield and it's Town.
If you enjoy bombing or are interested in learning feel free to join the fun!  This is nothing high speed or crazy, bomber pilots prefer the slow and steady kind of life.  Once you join be sure to tune to Ch. 176 for Mission Comms.
The briefing will start at 2105 EST and we should be wheels up around 2110 EST, look forward to flying with whoever shows up!  We haven't had a big turnout yet, so we will iron things out as we go along.
The mission should last no longer then an hour or so, maybe a little longer or shorter depending of the flight.

If you have and questions feel free to post below.  And if you are planing on attending if you wouldn't mind sounding off.  Depending on the number of players I will adjust the mission / targets accordingly.
Ps. If anyone flying with us records and wants to share some cool footage hit me up, I am working on putting together a promotional video for the event.

Brings back memories of the Titanic Tuesdays a few years back and something called Aluminum overcast.

Is the town and base just like a regular single airstrip base?

Recommendation for tight formation flying.

Flight Leader takes 25% more fuel than rest of bomber flight. (This enables rest of bombers to stay with Flight Leader)
Bomber pilots type .wingman <player ID> before takeoff or just after takeoff.
Bomber pilots take positions all around Flight Leader (front, rear, left flank, and right flank).
Bomber pilots, once in position, hit CTRL W to activate wingman formation and all are now slaved to Flight Leader.
All bomber pilots set .salvo (max number of bombs in bombload).

Flight Leader is now navigator AND Group Bombardier!!!!

Flight Leader is in scope protected by other bomber pods and calibrates for bomb release over Airfield Town or Strat.  On Vox, Flight Leader waits for crosshairs to be in center of target and calls out "Bombs Away"!!!!  Rest of bomber flight releases bombs upon hearing "Bombs Away".

The whole bomber flight releases bombs at same time covering their areas in relation to central area targeted by Flight Leader.  Maximum damage with best disperse and least overlap.

It works.  :D

Yes, base size will be determined by player count.

Jeez Kuya maybe I should just toss you the Keys to the mission.  Never thought off adding 25% fuel to keep everyone at the same speed.

Thank you to everyone that flew Friday night!  It was a bigger turnout then I expected.  We could have had a better drop but all things considered I think we did pretty well.
We have not flown together before and were trying something new, all in all things went pretty well.  I host these every Friday night at 9pm EST, I hope to see you all next week!

Mission video can be found here.

I am running a Nvidia GTX 1080.  Are you in the market for a new card?
