I enjoyed it, as well. I spent half my time as axis (there was imbalance - I don't like imbalance) and half my time Allied (flying F4Us, I love flying F4Us, besides ... the CHOG!). I admit, I'm not the best stick (never claimed to be more than average/less than) and it has been awhile. But it was thrilling to down an F4U4 (though the pilot was flying it in a less than 'using its strengths' way - like I'm one to talk). Eventually, I moved over to where a couple of my squadies were (why more didn't show *ShruG*).

I gotta say, an event like this, though not strictly 'historical' is definitely hysterical. With more players, it would have been even more fun. Lots of targets, unlimited lives perkless perk planes and the pac, baybee!

I found the best fun was fur balling in the enemy CV fleets.  I was in a Ki-84 against a pilot who flew F4F/FM2 and another in different Corsairs.  We were on the deck flying around and over the ships with all the ack firing.  At .001 lethality, I was being hit non-stop with no damage and the intensity of the sounds and the bullets from the enemy fighters.  So much chaos and mayhem, it was great!!!!!

You hit the money there.  Imagine 30+ players fighting among the ships low over the water weaving in and out shooting at each other while ack is firing all around.  Someone tell me where they can experience anything close to that?

I enjoyed using my B-26 with no bombs and 25% fuel to dogfight in the carrier furball. The ack coming up from the fleets was at times hiding the enemy and friendly planes and with short icon ranges was a hoot. In short I really enjoyed this.
