It's an "are you f ing kidding me?" level of botchery.

The obvious response is debauchery.

Yes, but tests should not be so limited, especially this late in the game.

We (the US) had months of advanced warning to roll out a simple PCR test, and it still isn't much available.

That is a major-league FUBARing.

It's not like a do-or-die 3rd and long in football, and the receiver drops a catchable ball.  It's more like the team knew 4 months in advance that it would be playing in the Super Bowl, and when the game comes, the team doesn't show up until halftime, and even then, it forgets to wear shoes.

It's an "are you f ing kidding me?" level of botchery.

I agree.  The CDC has one primary job and they suck at it.

Testing was only restricted because there were limited tests available thanks to CDC screwing up. That's changing now.

Its not the CDC. Its the mandates, restrictions and cut backs from on high.

Its a great ad for gov run health care

Maybe a private health care reset is a silver lining in this whole thing

Its a great ad for changing administrations.

Describe a "private healthcare reset" and the practicalities of it happening.

One of our kids, who got sick and is feeling better, couldn't get tested.

However, in the US, if you are a politician or a celebrity you can tested right away - even if you have no symptoms.

Just ask Sen. Lindsey Graham or Reps. Matt Gaetz or Mark Meadows.

For now, I really think that tests should only be made available due to medical symptoms.

a month ago there would be 3 or 4 cars parked in our apartments. now there's 3 or 4 empty spaces.  that's how the economy is doing.

i still feel lucky.  may not have toilet paper, i haven't stocked up on food but i have enough for 2 or 3 weeks.  all this people panicking is gonna stop. just about everything is limited except for beer and chips.

Maybe.  Depends on how it plays out.

Another scenario is that every health insurance company in the country goes bankrupt because they don't a fraction of the reserves to cover millions of customers all needing expensive, long duration hospitalization all at once over the next year.

Wait until millions of hospitalized voters, fighting for their lives, are sent an email informing them that their insurer has ceased business and those hundreds of thousands of dollars in hospital bills they've been racking up?  Well, good luck with that.  Oh, the hospital accounts-receivable administrator is waiting outside your room with some paper work.  Is now a good time?

Much easier to see this whole thing dumped on trump who is then defeated by senile joe who is instructed by his handlers to invoke an upgrade to the obama pile of crap by executive order or declaring another national emergency which results in a total gov takeover of the healthcare system
