Personally it’s nice the stores have starting limiting quantities on items purchased so slow down the horde mentality.

Couldn’t find a scrap of chicken the other day when I went shopping. I did find the soap and bread thankfully. Luckily I have a couple of whole chickens still so no biggie but I wanted some more chicken boobs. None to be found other then the prebreaded chicken wing crap.

A PCR test is a simple, standard thing to design and roll out.  Biotech labs design and run PCR tests all the time.

We kinda wisened up a year back and invested in a small freezer chest (an uncommon appliance in a small apartment). While it wasn't full at the start of the pandemic the amount in it has served us well (yup, our supermarkets were hit about as hard as anywhere, I reckon. We're looking forward to restocking it.

have friend that are hard core republics they worship him.  make fun of socialism.  4 out of 6 were sent home.   full pay, their comments,  gonna milk this as long as i can.  while some of their coworkers are at work.  Republicans socialist ay their best.

You are quoting a recommendation for lower budget -- in the future.

That has -- absolutely nothing, zero -- to do with the budget up to this point.  Not unless future actions can travel back in time to affect our past.

Also, Presidents can (and do) give opinions, but they do not make budgets.  Congress has the power to do that, as it sees fit.

It is totally fake and pure propaganda that anyone cut funding to the CDC and caused trouble getting out the PCR test.

Even so, regardless, it is cheap, fast, and easy to roll out a PCR test.  I'll do it for you for even less than $1.5 billion.   

Anyway, who says the best budget for CDC is $X billion per year and not $Y billion?  You?  Me?  Is the correct answer "as much as previous administration year 2, plus $3 billion"?

Have you looked at what is there?

It's not quickly apparent where to extract a single number as "CDC budget" (the money they actually got for the year, in total) from the docs they provide.  There are "budget request" amounts, "budgetary authority" amounts, "budgetary authority" amount plus PPHF's, that plus "PHS Evaluation Transfer", etc.  It's a morass of govspeak.

Read the Book of Acts in the Bible. God instructed all the Christians to pool their money together and killed a husband and wife for hiding some of their money. That means God is a socialist. I'm not, but I believe in helping others, despite the reason they need it. If you say "They're not getting mine!" YOU'RE NOT A CHRISTIAN.

I help others all the time. That is not socialism.


Socialism is taking from those that do and giving to those that do not. So soon no one does because... well why when you can just sit while others support you. That is till everyone is pretty much doing the same. Then there is no ability to better yourself, no reason to work harder or even work.
