Shot Down In Flames!
« on: August 12, 2000, 04:50:00 AM »
The Great Lakes don't show up on my "Battle Of Rock-n-Roll Terrain.

The Detail on my Pearl Harbor Terrain is not small enough (No ford island)

CBI still stands a chance what do I do if the area I want is on two of the ????30 tiles?

Scale it down, I guess you have a BIT too much water on the map?   Mapmaker only does 512x512 maps, but don't get confused about it.  You don't have to make a 1:1 map, right?  You can take a smaller area ("less degrees") in the mapmaker, in which case the scale will less than 1:1.  But in a map like PH, that might be only good?  Say 3:4 or 2:3?  That would probably increase the playability some...

One way is take a good map with just the area you want.  Then make a bmp out of it and import it to the game with AKWabbit's BMP2MAP -tool.  You can do fine editing at the bmp level, which the map maker doesnt allow.

I hope this helps!
