 :salute how do I increase my viewing range in the game. in gvs I cant even see the shells coming in till they hit the ground or me.

Do you mean like "zoom"? Most of the "tankers" sit in the commanders position, use sound to center the target, and then the zoom to spot and in many cases shoot the targets. They do the same while shooting "on the run". Being good at GVin takes just as much practice, or sometimes even more than being good in a fighter.

i think the two main methods to change the view distance are,

1. use the "z" key to zoom in. this lets you see farther at the cost of wider. you can swap back and forth at will.
2. change the game FOV under video options to get a starting view that is more comfortable.
"fly as far as you can into the crash"

You used to be able to set different view distances, full view distance was shift F1, but now you get full view distance by default and can't set any others.

For better clarity make sure the video resolution matches the monitor and set AA off.
