« on: August 17, 2000, 01:03:00 AM »
What fields should I associate the HQs and Cities with?  How should I go about implemeting those features in my terrain?

All strat objects, cities, factories, and HQ's, should be associated with a country, not a field.

Select all the objects at that facility, and bring up the object properties box.

Then where it says "owned by" Field #, click once on the button that says "Field" and it will change to "Country".

Then enter country 1, 2, or 3, as appropriate.

Rendar,

Saving you a few clicks and typing for each object.

When I place the city object group on the terrain and it asks me which field should the group be owned by, I chose 1, 2 or 3 depending on which country will own the field.  Changing to a county owned object then is just a double click on the object name in the object editor, click on the Field Owned button to make it country owned and then click on ok.

When editing objects the object that is selected appears in the selection list, (Page 12 of the manual has a picture).

Just double click on the name of the object, (in the picture on Page 12 the selected object is called F01VOD0).

That brings up the properties for that object.
