Game continually crashing
« on: March 23, 2020, 05:53:00 PM »
Hightech alot of players from all countries have been experiencing CTD's. And happening like every 5 minutes for some. Is the server room getting overheated? Did the air conditioners stop running? This isnt good. With so many people off work or laid off like me, and all the colleges  closing more people could possibly be playing and overloading the servers....maybe?

Please fix.....im going stir crazy
I hope you have a super sparkly day :rock

While I saw reports of it happening when I logged in this evening. I had none myself.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

If there was a problem with the game servers you would see large scale dumps, major portions of the population getting booted at once.

With players getting a crassh it is more likely issues with your computer. Use PingPlotter to check your connection to the servers. Check your system for too many things running in the background. Check your own routers and modems to be sure they are working properly. They need to be reboot now and then to maintain a good connection.

It did, and deprived him of a well-earned kill.  He was about to dance on my head - then, suddenly, disappeared!

We put it down to benevolent intervention of the gods.

Your post says it all if you think about it... there is just so much more internet traffic there will be issues... it will start to chill out after a bit and when telcos get told to quit limiting during this time.... don't blame the end supply... blame the distribution....

Windows Update again...Of Course...
For the record, I had both of the problematic updates installed without any issues. They don't affect everyone. Then again, 1% of Windows PC users is a far bigger crowd than 1% of Mac users.

Yes, I think this is the most likely explanation for me.  My Verizon wireless signal is generally good, but often weak, and seems especially unreliable during times when the internet is busy.  Sunday eve I was on AH for an hour or two and discoed or CTD several times, finally gave up for the evening.
