How to report cheating and abuse?
« on: April 13, 2020, 05:00:37 AM »
I've been playing AH2/AH3 about 3-4 years and I was a developer in another game. I'm not a coder, but I understand games and players to some degree. There have always been moments in AH3 where I suspected someone might be cheating with dual accounts or communication with my team, but there has always been a possible explanation for the enemy "luck" in finding me and I've never felt the need to report anyone. That happened in the past no more than once a month, to get that suspicion.

Recently however, other players are beginning to notice. After about 6-7 incidents I decided to start filming and also alerting my team to what is happening. Players on my team agree there is no possible explanation for what is happening other than dual accounts or our team helping.

There are only around 10 suspects on my team and one person on the Knight team. Yesterday when I changed course 4 times, he matched my course four times and convinced my team he was cheating.

Today he flew to the rook strats from Knight-land and shot me down while I finished bombing the Rooks. Not only is he cheating, but he is deliberately singling out bombers and it appears specifically me. When I look at the 3-4 days of video I have, always the same Bishops are logged in. The guy is literally hunting me by cheating and coming behind the lines to do it now. It is beyond obvious.

It's very simple. I will stop paying for AH3 until the problem is sorted. Where do I send evidence to please? I'm not going to play, if the Bishops can see where I am. Either remove that facility or expel the cheater on the Knights/Bishops please until they come to their senses please.

To make it clear, I've flown for the last time, until the problem is sorted. I have some film and I have some screenies and I have screenshotted the rosters. I can also make a diagram of the flightpath yesterday for cheater and myself.

So you think that someone on your team takes the time to point you out among all the other players in the game.... they just look for you. I imagine you are doing something to alert them. Fairly easy to find someone trying to skirt a fight.

I'd bet in those 6-7 incidents you didn't change tactics, probably starting from a field 4 sectors back from the front and slowly made your way around the edges of the map showing darbar all the way. :old:

You can send an email to support@hitechcreations.com With the information you have.

However, due to the low numbers in the arena at the time your flying it may be that you have become predictable and this guy just KNOWS you like to hit strats and so hunts you. The guy uses a FW190-A8 which IS a buff hunter. Over half his kills this month are bombers. As you said "there has always been a possible explanation for the enemy "luck" in finding me" and this may cover the excuse in this case, you may have become predictable.

Fake News
Flight Leader: "Bogeys at 2 o'clock!"
Wingman: "Roger, It's 1:30 now, what do I do 'til then?"

Blake, B-24s have some sting. Even a seasoned buff hunter that's figured out your strat habits should feel it now and again.

Good luck, in any case, B.  :salute

Good on supplying the link, Fugi .... then goin' the extra mile to make the complainant feel the community genuinely cares, I see. What happened to diplomatic hand-holding in an attempt to retain? :D

Ugh... I hate improving strat raiders tactics, as there's not much more frustrating than a high alt bomber that really knows what they're doing.  However, I hate cheating accusations more.

As one of the guys that ran across you a few times this weekend Blakes, you are predictable.  When we see bardar in the area of the strats and there's friendly radar covering most of the sector it is in, by process of elimination and assuming where the bomber is headed it is REALLY easy to fly to where you're most likely to be.  Also, I think it was you that broke dar at one of the bases on Saturday afternoon  and made it really easy to pinpoint you for about 5 minutes.

Not being inside a dar circle does not mean we don't know where you are and where you are headed.

Wiley.
If you think you are having a 1v1 in the Main Arena, your SA has failed you.

I agree with the predictability thing, but with the first two replies, it wasn't the case on this occasion.

I really appreciate the email address. Again when people find me or "find me" I don't complain or kick off.

On this occasion, the guy hadn't found me but was changing course to match mine, four times. That I've not seen before.

I agree 99.99 percent of the time it's not cheating, but maybe it is worth showing hitech the movie.

I agree about the buffhunter thing, he followed me to rook strats and attacked me. That's dedication.

Snailman used to be a prodigious buff hunter, I'm sure he got accused of hacking a time or two, Barkhorn was another.
