PTAB
« on: May 04, 2020, 02:13:49 PM »
I, again, wish for PTAB's added to the Il 2. They were used.  It's not like asking for the A Bomb.

It's not? I mean, of course it isn't the A bomb but isn't asking for it kinda like the same as the act of those asking for the A bomb? Technically?  :D

I don't see how. Are you going to restrict some ordnance because it would seemingly give an unfair advantage. The Tiger II has a great advantage over other tank's. It has perk points that can be lost, but the advantage in fire power and armor are great. I just don't see how HT can pick and choose these thing's, because they thank are unfair.

Nice that you still ask for stuff. Nothing more will ever be added or updated in this game.

+1 on the PTAB. It's also a good way to flush out hiding tanks and tracked vehicles. Should be an ordinance option for the IL-2 or maybe even a perked ord.

It would be nice to have the US M26 Pershing tank, Russian IS-2, IS-3 or even the KV series tanks to match with the Tiger II.  All of those tanks can compete with tiger II.

Honestly I'd prefer to see more map/terrain variations. Like tank battles in the open desert, the eastern European plains, dense forests/mountains where your stuck using roads etc for more variety.

I've always wondered how accurate the bomb damage modeling on tanks is. A near miss may not blow the tank up in real life. But maybe it would knock out the crew?

Going back to JimmyD3's comment, "it's his game, he can pick and chose as he see's fit". This is true. How ever, it seems he would want to keep the people paying him happy and content.

It does.  I wonder, given how most GVers seem to feel about being bombed how happy they'd be with a weapon like the PTAB that would allow an IL-2 to carpet bomb an area.

Kinda like how you'll notice the 262 doesn't have the R4M rockets.

Well. seeing how GV's were bombed in WW II, why can't they be bombed here. I don't like being shot down, but it happens. I don't like going up against a Tiger II while in a Panzer, but it happens.  PTAB's were a part of war. Besides, you have get close to drop them and I have been shot down in an Il 2  many times from 600+ yards.
