Just thought I would share this.
April 2018, the family and I were driving home after my oldest's soccer game in Manassas VA when we saw this beaut coming in for a landing.
We were at a stoplight near the airport when I looked off wondering what kind of plane was landing off to the distance, I absolutely freaked when I saw the markings.
My wife floored the pedal and B-Lined it straight to the airport a mile down the road where it taxied to its spot.
Talking to the crew (wish we could of been on the other side of the fence), the winds have diverted its flight from Dulles to Mannasas. Crew was great and very friendly. The youngest was even handed a teddy bear pilot.
Both kids enjoyed the experience and I am glad they really appreciated the beauty of the Lancaster.
