I was hoping Puma44 might chime in on this one.

I don't think Puma is Welsh.

- oldman (...not sure, though, possibly he could be...) (Come to think of it, I'm part Welsh...but 4Gs was the max I ever sustained...)

Haven’t had time to watch the whole video but, have pulled a few Gs here and there.  And, spatial D is a real thing that is quite eye opening when it happens.

Is it easier when you have control of the aircraft and can let off the stick to maintain your own limits? I imagine the person not in control has it worse.

This is the Captain.  We have a lil' problem with our entry sequence so we may experience some slight turbulence and then... explode.

You can invertantly pull too many G's in an aircraft and black yourself out. Then you're a smoking hole in the gound seconds later.

You never consciously let go of the controls to manage G load.  In fact, it’s better tolerated when holding on and maintaining a feel for what the aircraft is doing, until G lock.  Then, you’re along for the ride.

Haven’t had time to watch the whole video but, have pulled a few Gs here and there.  And, spatial D is a real thing that is quite eye opening when it happens.

I was on a nighttime sortie (F-16), backseat, and the pilot was instructing me to roll right at the merge in a max 6g turn for 90°, and to get from 16k to 8k quickly. I had NVGs on and was watching instruments, but as soon as I rolled right and put on the G's, with no external visual reference I felt like I was floating in a tub of nothingness. He realized we were pointed almost directly down and that I had no clue where we were. He calmly pulled us out of the dive with a "I have control of the aircraft" and we terminated the engagement. Real-world, super fast onset of spatial D. I felt fine physiologically, but had no friggin' clue where we were pointed after that.

Be safe out there folks!

The “Funky Chicken” is alive and well.  :D

  This! :joystick:

Why even put a meatbomb inside the A/C???  It limits the airframe,we could have A/C capable of 15g turns, even more but the meatbomb would explode.

Likely build drones for a 10th of the cost, and if it gets shot down there's no pilot so who cares. Just need some way of training the remote pilot thats both educational and fun>> :airplane: :devil
