Some more backyard pics I took today. Not sure if the crow and hawk are the same I posted before but they're still fighting, just not in this pic.

Btw that first pic the hawk is in the high speed dive called the stoop. It didn't attack anything, it looked like it was just playing or it's target alerted so it broke off.

Very cool!
Had a goshawk take a grackle in the neighbors yard last weekend, didnt have a chance to get a pic of it. Would have been just a blur of feathers anyways.....

Saw a redtail take a magpie yesterday, which really po'd all the other magpies. Didn't actually see him hit the magpie but did see it land with it in it's talons. That was when all the other magpies started squawking and dive bombing the hawk. The hawk just stood it's ground waited a minute then flew off with the magpie with the survivors flying around it in full chatter. Unfortunately I didn't get any pics but it was interesting to watch.

Very cool, great job capturing that first picture of the Hawk in the dive/stoop (first I've ever heard of that word, learn something every day I guess).

Great pictures! We have a lot of Harris hawks in my part of town. I’ve only ever been able to get a couple decent pictures...nothing like that! There’s also some owls in the neighborhood but rarely ever see much more than a shadow unless I can spot them at dawn.
