I assume when you squelch someone they don't know it?
If that is the case maybe they get a message that you have been squelched by 1 player. Have the message continue as other players also squelch you. 2 players,3 players ect.
This way someone knows if they have vox problems(static, too loud ect.). Or if they are being an arse maybe after a few messages they may get it. Some will not of course but it might help?

If they had a vox problem you could tell them in chat or Private. Getting told you have been squelched without a reason may hurt some feelings.
People may take an issue getting squelched just because other people don't like their text or voice.
I had some player tonight, who's name I don't remember, get a little upset with me because I asked if a base needed a resupply run, I told him if it bothered him he should squelch me. I didn't need a text telling me he did so, however He say it wasn't his style ... so I just squelched him. If I wanted him to know I squelched him I woulda told him before I did.
If your a liberal and start talking politics on voice or text I'm gonna squelch you.
Not sure if a person can still see your text or not after you squelch them but honesty I don't think it really matters.
I would settle for a persistent perma squelch that stays on until I turn it off.
There are some people in the game I would rather never ever want hear or see their text ever again in my lifetime would be nice if I didn't have to squelch them every time I check into an arena.
Lets say HiTech Goes soft and lets a certain lowlife back into the game that likes to try and hijack squads and then when he or she doesn't get their way they copy said squad to tarnish their name. I would never ever want to hear that persons voice or see their text ever again in my lifetime. If I had my way they wouldn't be allowed to breath the same atmosphere.
