Zoom in to view skins
« on: August 02, 2020, 10:07:55 AM »
I wish we could zoom in the hangar or somewhere that wouldn’t be abused in gameplay to enjoy the magnificent art and work that has gone into creating the skins.

Zoom in further too, somehow.

On the runway and zoomed in is about the best frame shot I can get to show friends who are interested in seeing more of the game.

Go to the Offline Practice arena.  I am pretty sure F3 mode is on while in the air.  If not you can turn it on yourself.

Options > Arena Setup > Environment > Arena Settings > (scroll to the bottom of the list ) ViewModeFlags.  Open ViewModeFlags and put a checkmark in every box.  Make sure you save.

Then keep clicking Back until you get back to the normal clipboard.

An inspection view or walk around view would be nice. Let’s you quickly switch skins and loud outs between clean, DT’s, bombs and rockets. Lots games have similar modes, race games and combat games. They let you get in close and view details and take nice pics. Have a hanger and runway option.

I believe f3 view is enabled if stopped on ground in any plane?

I use F4, then F8, and use the arrow keys to move around the plane, and use 'Z' and the bracket keys ('[' and ']') to zoom in and out.

Using offline F3 in flight was how I made my 'T-shirt images.'

Yeah, but the OP is asking for an easier way to check out a skin in the hangar, where he can select another skin quickly. Spawning onto the runway is not a quick method.

Hanger walk around view with better lighting, it seems. A crap game in the corner would be a bonus.  :old:

The other day I was thinking that it would be nice to have a rotating view of the plane.  Something that would not only let you see the paint scheme on the plane, but a view that would have the guns and and maybe the ordnance labeled.  We sometimes get new players who are not familiar with WWII airplanes.  It would be nice to be able to look the plane over and learn more about it.
