Would love to try it but have heard it's not for those who wear eyeglasses. Still the case?

Legally blind here without glasses...

My vive pro lenses and glasses have scratches on them.

I just think its a scratched up canopy realism setting and look through them :)

One of my all time fav times was when a player who used to be an actual bomber pilot used to play in the sceneros and missions used to take over coms and go thru the actual check list for take off and flight.... It was sureal... He has passed on.... Miss his voice and missions..I think his callsign was ET37.. Forgive my memory I am old...PS.. His memorial flight I participated in was epic and allot of us were in tears

Nope nope nope. You can get inserts for prescription lenses that clip into most VR headsets. Way more comfortable than trying to wear glasses. I've had mine for 3 or 4 years now. I would highly recommend the Oculus Quest 2 (just announced) as a great starting point. Acts as a standalone and a PC VR headset. Needs a good CPU though.

My CPU is an i5-4690 3.5-3.9 Mhz  GPU is GTX 1660 Ti 6 GB.

Can you please provide more info on the prescription inserts? Never heard of them.

Prominent memory is when I get to fly with a bunch of team mates in a good furball.  Flying a mission and capturing a base.  Intercepting a base take attempt and stopping it cold.

Really anything that has to do with flying with fellow pilots.

I remember hearing an actual WWII vet (wish I could remember his name) explaining what the little leather thing on the bottom of your gunsight is.

Ok.  What IS that little leather thing on the bottom of your gunsight?

I can't for the life of me remember because it was so obvious and practical like perhaps for turning on the GS or something similar, that it came up un list of conversation about being a pilot etc. I will look it up.

Closest thing I could find with keywords I used is a "Rubber Crash Pad" only found in a diagram with no explanation. I assume it's for resting your hand, that rings a bell the most for me.

p.s. I'm sure we have some pilots in here that know that might chime in!  :airplane:

Disregard that!

It's a crash pad from preventing the gunsight from stamping your head with logos from it's base lol. "Crash" pad. :bhead
