In f6 bombsite,stick is unmapped

When in bombsite for the first time in AH3, nothing happened when I moved the stick to steer to target. X and Y axis were unassigned. I tried everything on the mapping options,rudder, then elevator and roll just MOVES THE BOMBSITE around like it's a gun, doesn't steer the plane. What do I assign to X and Y to steer in f6?

Turn off auto mode switch.

It's been many years since I tried a bomber but doesn't the rudder control direction when in the bombsight?

sounds like you may have still been in calibration mode...you did press hold and release Y ?

select the mode,mode 2 IIRC and then select copy mode one. It will transfer all the inputs to bomber gunner mode. You can then customize the mapping as you wish but the basics will be mapped as you have them in mode 1.
