So what was the purpose of side balancing anyways? Is it to make the sim more competitive? Or to allow paying customers to continue to fly the plane of their choice, or preference regardless of numbers?

If it is the latter then I want to fly 262's all day and at ZERO perks!! And if I dont get my way Ill hold my breath until I turn blue in the face ! 

We've had side balancing forever, so why the change?

So for us AM rooks, and occasionally Knits, when the Bish outnumber both sides combined buy 2 or 3 to 1 (through no fault of their own, it is what it is), you agree that there is no problem with them flying C-Hogs or rolling T2 Tigers onto a base ?

Do you really think a dedicated Bishop logs in and sees that there are 25 Bish and 2 rooks on, that they'll switch sides and miss out on the base capturing horde ?  I don't see that happening.

He leaves that up to players (many of which are too obstinate to switch sides to enjoy their ride). No 'political correctness' involved. What it does do is implement an equipment restriction on the side (or sides) that enjoy a major advantage in numbers. And if you're seeing me as against that, then you're seeing things.

You are better off just perking all of the top late war planes all together and leave it at that. Looking at any stats over the tours proves that perking planes reduces their usage.

I've never advocated eliminating planes altogether. AAMOF, I've advocated a rarely used method to use whatever plane you can afford to use. As such, I'm not much into inflation.

It is the players choice if he wants to fly on the side with smaller selection of aircraft.

No side even with even #s has a chance when being double teamed. It happens and its part of the "no strategy" aspect to AH where there is no team leader that builds a plan for team members. Sometimes teams get double teamed and there is nothing one person can do to force players to fight the other team. ENY isn't going to fix this phenomenon. I'm sure more individual players are happy getting to fly their favorite plane. I am all for making them cost perks though. I think that is a happier medium.

THIS!  Unless I am wrong? The "Fluctuating Perk Costs" per Player Number(almost ENY'd out of play) adjusts cost of using the BOSS rides, as normal? I think Dale mis-interpreted what folk were asking for? NOT ZERO ENY use...just a tweaking of the "Playability" for those who are PICKY about what they like to fly! As per MY experience back in 2013, ENY was a Thorn in my side! TRUE...it forced me to "Broaden My Horizons" as per other planes! IMHO, the "side Switch" time restriction lowered in conjunction with perking EVERY CRATE per ENY...would be a great start? Just my opinion

Perk cost has basically no effect on my decision to use a plane. If you have a huge numeric advantage you probably won't lose the plane.

True! Good Point, but that is us. It might work different for some others? Eh, I dont know many folk, who dont have thousands of perk points anyway Maybe "reset" to say 150p at Tour Changes? Never mind, that could cause timidity, i am thinking?
