Fw 190F-8 flown by Ernst-Christian Reusch, adjutant commander of II/SG 1 in the summer of 1944. Reusch was a holder of the Knight's cross and flew 765 combat sorties. On Jan. 26, 1945, his plane was damaged in combat near Morąg, Poland and was forced to crash land. Reusch would die from his injuries at a hospital in Gdańsk.
This plane features yellow IFF markings consistent with Luftwaffe units fighting with Army Group Center in Belarus, East Prussia, and Poland. An unusual feature is the bare metal exhaust panel on the fuselage sides.
